Shano Family Winery was founded in 2015 in Martkopi. The same year, on a date that meant the world to the family — the 100th birthday of great-grandfather Shalva "Shano" Nozadze — they planted a small vineyard. The vineyard is dedicated to Budeshuri Saperavi. Since 2019 they've made wine the traditional Georgian way; the collection has since grown to include Khikhvi, Kisi and Manavi Mtsvane — each in small, natural batches.
